Jsonpage · SIREN and SIRET API

Automate your checks, no code needed

Three ready-made templates, to connect with your API key.

The three templates

Complete a company record, check a file dropped in a folder, receive monitoring alerts in Slack or Teams: the templates use the Jsonpage API with your key. Each template exists for Zapier, Make and n8n. Google Sheets and Excel have their own scripts, described below.

Template A

Complete a record

A new customer arrives in HubSpot or a row is added in Google Sheets.

Template B

Check a file

A CSV file is dropped in Google Drive or Dropbox.

Template C

Receive the alerts

Jsonpage detects a change on a monitored company.

Your API key

  1. Create a free account. You then manage the key in the dashboard.
  2. Paste it in the template. It replaces the text PASTE_YOUR_JSONPAGE_API_KEY: in the Jsonpage menu of Google Sheets, on the ApiKey line of the Excel script, in the Config node of n8n, in the HTTP modules of Make and in the Webhooks steps of Zapier.
  3. Keep it private. Do not share a workbook, scenario or workflow that contains the key. If it leaks, renew it in the dashboard: the old one stays valid for 24 hours.

Each call counts as one request of your plan. Completing a row uses two (the search, then the record); a row checked in a batch uses one.

Google Sheets

Coming soon on Google Workspace Marketplace

An Apps Script adds functions to your sheet and a Jsonpage menu.

  1. Open Extensions, Apps Script, delete the sample code and paste the content of the Google Sheets script.
  2. Save, reload the sheet and authorize the script. The Jsonpage menu appears.
  3. Choose Set API key and paste your key. It is kept in the script properties, not in a cell.
  4. Write a formula in a cell, for example:
=JSONPAGE_NAME(A2)
=JSONPAGE_SIREN("Danone")
=JSONPAGE_VAT_STATUS(A2)
=JSONPAGE_VALIDATE("FR27552032534")
FunctionReturns
JSONPAGE_SIRENThe company number
JSONPAGE_NAMEThe official company name
JSONPAGE_VATThe VAT number
JSONPAGE_VAT_STATUSThe result of the VAT check
JSONPAGE_ADDRESSThe address
JSONPAGE_STATUSactive, closed or unknown
JSONPAGE_COMPANYAny field: city, postal_code, legal_form, activity...
JSONPAGE_VALIDATEOK, or the list of failed checks

The first argument can be a name, a SIREN, a SIRET, a French VAT number or an identifier such as FR-552032534. Answers are kept for 6 hours. The Complete selected rows menu fills columns B to E of the selected rows from column A. A formula copied down thousands of rows uses as many requests: for a big file, use template B.

Excel (Microsoft 365)

Power Query (Excel for desktop)

  1. Put your list in a table named Clients, with a column Entreprise (name, SIREN, SIRET or VAT number).
  2. Open Data, Get Data, From Other Sources, Blank Query, then Advanced Editor.
  3. Paste the Power Query script, replace the key on the ApiKey line, then close and load. If Excel asks for a privacy level, choose Organizational.
  4. Refresh with Data, Refresh All when the list changes. The columns Official name, SIREN, Status, VAT number, VAT status and Address are added.

Office Script (Excel on the web)

  1. Open the Automate tab, then New Script, and paste the Office Script.
  2. Replace the key on the API_KEY line, save and run. The script reads the Clients table and writes the same columns.
  3. Power Automate can run it on a schedule (Run script action).

Zapier

Zapier cannot import a Zap from a file. Each template is therefore a step-by-step guide: the app, the action and the settings of every step, with the requests to copy (URL, headers, JSON body) and the code of the Code by Zapier steps.

  1. Create a Zap with the trigger given in the guide.
  2. Add the steps in order. For each Webhooks by Zapier, Custom Request step, copy the method, the URL, the headers and the data.
  3. Replace PASTE_YOUR_JSONPAGE_API_KEY in the X-API-Key header, test each step, then turn the Zap on.

Make

  1. In Make, create a scenario, open the ... menu at the bottom, then Import Blueprint and choose the file.
  2. Connect your accounts (Google Sheets, Google Drive, HubSpot) when Make asks.
  3. Replace PASTE_YOUR_JSONPAGE_API_KEY in the header of the HTTP modules, run the scenario once, then turn scheduling on.

Make may ask you to reconfigure a module after the import: the addresses, headers and bodies of the HTTP modules stay valid.

n8n

  1. In n8n, open Workflows, then Import from file and choose the JSON file.
  2. Open the Config node and paste your key: it is the only place to edit (plus the chat webhook address and the HubSpot token for template C).
  3. Choose your Google credentials, then activate the workflow.

Template C checks the signature of the alert. On self-hosted n8n, allow the crypto module with NODE_FUNCTION_ALLOW_BUILTIN=crypto. n8n has no Dropbox trigger: for Dropbox, use Zapier or Make.

A. Complete a recordn8n-complete-company.json
B. Check a filen8n-verify-file.json

Alert security

Each Jsonpage alert is signed (Jsonpage-Signature header). The n8n template checks the signature and refuses an alert that is too old. Zapier and Make give no access to this header: keep the address of your webhook secret. See Verify the signature.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to write code?+

No. You paste a script or import a file, then enter the key.

How many requests does it use?+

One request per call. Completing a row uses two (search, then record); a file checked in batches uses one per row.

Which countries are supported?+

The examples start from a French name, SIREN, SIRET or VAT number. An identifier in the global format, such as BE-0417497106, works in Google Sheets, in Excel and in template B.

Can I use Dropbox?+

Yes with Zapier, whose file includes the Dropbox trigger, or with Make by replacing the Google Drive modules. n8n has no Dropbox trigger.

What happens if a company is not found?+

The row gets NOT_FOUND in Google Sheets, Excel and n8n, or stays empty in Make and Zapier. In the result file of template B, the error column gives the cause.

Why 100 rows per run?+

The API accepts 100 identifiers per batch. n8n cuts big files by itself; Zapier and Make handle 100 rows per run.

Are the templates free?+

Yes. Only the API calls count as requests of your plan.
