What the plugins do
- Autocomplete from 3 letters. Name, city and company number appear while the customer types.
- Record filled in automatically. Company name, address, company number and VAT number fill in with one click.
- VAT verified, automatic exemption. A valid number from another country can remove the tax from the order.
- Closed company flagged. You choose to block, to flag, or to let it through.
- No order blocked by an outage. If the service does not answer, the field can still be typed by hand and the check is repeated later.
- Accessible and in four languages. Usable with the keyboard and a screen reader, in French, English, Dutch and German.
Start in three steps
- Create a free account. It gives you an API key, with no credit card.
- Install the plugin for your platform. WooCommerce, Shopify or PrestaShop.
- Paste the key in the settings. Autocomplete is on: the key stays on your server, never in the browser.
Free to start
The plugins are free. They work with a Jsonpage API key: the free account is enough to start, with 100 requests per minute. For busy shops, the Standard (€19 excl. VAT per month) and Pro (€129 excl. VAT per month) plans take over, with no separate licence. Fixed price, no credits, no overage billed.
Countries covered
France, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Latvia. The VAT number is verified for all these countries except the United Kingdom, where autocomplete and the company record remain available.
Frequently asked questions
Are the plugins really free?+
Yes. They need a Jsonpage API key; the free account is enough to start and there is no separate licence.
How do they differ from a simple VAT check?+
They do more than check a number: they suggest the company while the customer types and fill in the company name, the address and the company number.
Is the API key visible in the browser?+
No. The browser calls your shop, and your shop calls Jsonpage with the key.
What happens if the service is unavailable?+
No order is blocked: the customer types by hand and the check is repeated later.
