What the plugin does
- Autocomplete from 3 letters. One click fills in the VAT number and offers the company record.
- Theme block for every plan. Add "Company and VAT" to the customer account, the registration or the cart from the theme editor.
- Checkout for Shopify Plus. Checkout customisation is reserved to Shopify Plus: the checkout extension verifies the number there and can block the step.
- "TVA vérifiée" tag. The customer whose number is valid gets the tag, with the number, the status and the date in the custom fields.
- Shopify's B2B features. When your plan has them, the app can also create the company in the native B2B features.
- Never blocking in an outage. If the service does not answer, the customer carries on and the order is checked again later.
Install in three steps
- Install the app. From the Shopify App Store, add Jsonpage to your shop.
- Create a free account. The app's button opens the sign-up; paste the API key from the dashboard in the settings.
- Add the block to the theme. In the theme editor, add "Company and VAT"; on Shopify Plus, also turn on the extension in the checkout editor.

Shopify plans
Checkout customisation is reserved to Shopify Plus. On the other plans, the check happens when the customer account is created and in the cart, with the theme block, then a second time on the server when the order is created. Shopify's native B2B features are used when they are available.
Data kept
On the customer and on the order, the app stores only the VAT number, the verification status and the verification date, in custom fields, with the tag. Results are kept for 24 hours to limit calls. The API key is encrypted on the app server and never appears in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is the app free?+
Yes. It works with a Jsonpage API key: the free account is enough to start, and the Standard and Pro plans are for busy shops.
Is Shopify Plus needed?+
No. The theme block works on every plan. Shopify Plus adds the checkout extension, as checkout customisation is reserved to it.
What is the "TVA vérifiée" tag for?+
It identifies the customers whose number is valid. It is the basis of the exemption: manual, through an automation, or through the app option.
What happens if Jsonpage does not answer?+
No order is blocked. The customer carries on, the order gets a "to check again" tag and a button in the app runs the check again.
