What the plugin does
- Autocomplete from 3 letters. One click fills in the company name, the address, the company number and the VAT number.
- VAT verified and exemption. A valid number from another country than the shop can remove the tax from the order automatically.
- Closed company flagged. You choose: block the order, flag it for review, or do nothing.
- Visible status. The verification status appears in the order, in the order e-mail and on the invoice.
- Order never blocked by an outage. If the service does not answer, the field can still be typed by hand and the check is repeated later.
- Quote forms. A Company field with autocomplete for Contact Form 7, WPForms and Gravity Forms, also without WooCommerce.
Install in three steps
- Install the plugin. From the Plugins screen of WordPress, add Jsonpage and activate it.
- Create a free account. In Settings then Jsonpage, the button opens the sign-up; copy the API key from the dashboard.
- Paste the key and save. Choose your countries and what to do if the VAT number is invalid: autocomplete is on.

Compatibility
WordPress 6.2 and later, WooCommerce 8.3 and later (8.9 for the block checkout field). High-performance order storage is supported. The plugin is tested on the classic checkout and on the block checkout, in French and in English.
Data kept
On the order and on the customer account, the plugin stores only the VAT number, the verification status and the verification date. Results are kept for 24 hours to limit calls. The plugin calls Jsonpage from your server: the key never appears in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is the plugin free?+
Yes. It works with a Jsonpage API key: the free account is enough to start, and the Standard and Pro plans are for busy shops.
What happens if Jsonpage does not answer?+
The order is never blocked. The field can still be typed by hand, a note is added to the order and the check is repeated automatically later.
Is WooCommerce needed for the forms?+
No. The Company field of Contact Form 7, WPForms and Gravity Forms works on a WordPress site without a shop.
When is VAT removed from the order?+
When the number is valid, from the billing country and different from the shop country. The option can be switched off in the settings, and the rules that apply to your business should be checked with your accountant.
