Who is this article for?
For developers and product managers comparing company data APIs before making a choice. The information about the other services comes from their public pages, viewed in 2026; offers change, so check them on their sites: Pappers, Societeinfo. Only information re-read on those pages appears here.
What all these APIs do
Company data APIs share a common core: find a company by its SIREN or SIRET, search for it by name and return its record (name, status, address, activity, legal form). For this core, the difference lies less in the fields than in the pricing model, the geographic coverage and what comes around it: monitoring, VAT verification, files.
Two pricing models: credits or a plan
With a credit model, each lookup deducts credits from a pack. According to the Pappers pricing page viewed in 2026, autocomplete is free in the browser within a limit of 100 searches per day per IP address, and a billed search uses 0.1 credit per result returned. Societeinfo also bills by credit, at one credit per successful request.
A worked example, in credits: 100,000 search results at 0.1 credit each use 10,000 credits. The price in euros of those credits depends on the pack chosen: apply this number to the provider's price list to get your cost.
With a fixed plan, the price does not depend on volume. At Jsonpage, the same 100,000 searches by name are 100,000 requests: there is no monthly quota, only a rate per minute (1,000 requests per minute with the Standard plan at €19 excl. VAT per month, or 100 minutes for the 100,000). Fixed price, no credits, no overage billed. The drawback of a plan: if you use very little, pay-as-you-go can cost less.

When to choose another tool
- Official documents and financial data. If you need annual accounts, articles of association or financial data, Jsonpage does not offer them today: compare the offers of the established providers.
- Historical depth and reputation. Established providers have a long track record and public references. Jsonpage is a recent service.
- Very low usage. For a few dozen requests a month, the Jsonpage Discovery plan (free) or pay-as-you-go costs less than a paid plan.
When Jsonpage is a good fit
- Variable or high volume. The bill does not change with the number of records looked up.
- Monitoring. A signed webhook notifies you when a company closes, moves or enters insolvency proceedings, with 1,000 companies tracked on Standard and 10,000 on Pro.
- Several countries. France, Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Ireland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Australia, Singapore, Japan: one response format and one global identifier per company.
- VAT and forms. VAT number verified with its status, plus validation and autocomplete for input fields.
- Customer file for e-invoicing. A one-off cleanup, with a free diagnostic, from €29 excl. VAT.
Migrating: where to find each piece of information

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a fixed plan and credits?+
With credits, each lookup deducts a share of a pack and the bill follows usage. With a fixed plan, the price for the month is known in advance, whatever the number of records looked up.
Is Jsonpage cheaper than Pappers?+
It depends on your usage, and we do not publish a price comparison: credit pack prices change. Work out your volume in credits with them, then compare it with the plan at €19 or €129 excl. VAT per month.
Is there a monthly quota at Jsonpage?+
No. No plan has a monthly quota: the rate is limited per minute, at 100, 1,000 or 10,000 requests depending on the plan. Fixed price, no credits, no overage billed. Only the Discovery plan (free) has an additional cap of 1,000 requests per day, reset at midnight UTC.
Does Jsonpage provide annual accounts and official documents?+
No, not today. If you need them, compare the offers of the established providers.
Can I try it without a credit card?+
Yes. The Discovery plan (free) gives access to every route, with 100 requests per minute and 2 monitored companies.
