The Y-tunnus format
The Y-tunnus is written with 7 digits, a hyphen, then 1 check digit: 0112038-9. The last digit is a modulo-11 check computed on the first seven. An older number may have fewer than 7 digits before the hyphen: the leading zero is then often left out.
GET /v2/companies/FI-01120389 returns the record with its status. The Discovery plan (free) includes this route. See Pricing.Accepted spellings
The same number circulates in several forms: 0112038-9, 01120389, FI01120389 and 112038-9. Jsonpage accepts them all and reduces them to the global identifier FI-01120389: the country code, then the 8 characters without the hyphen.
The link with Finnish VAT
The Finnish VAT number is FI followed by the 8 digits of the Y-tunnus without the hyphen: FI01120389. For other VAT formats, see French VAT number: format and how to check it.
With Jsonpage
To check a Finnish company, query its record:
curl "https://api.jsonpage.com/v2/companies/FI-01120389?include=address,vat" \
-H "X-API-Key: $JSONPAGE_API_KEY"
Establishments are not available for Finland, and the closing date stays empty for an entity that left the register.
